JLL report looks at how building design features can affect the health, satisfaction and productivity of office workers, driving cost savings and increased revenue.
The implications of this research are relevant to a wide spectrum of stakeholders:
- Developers, who can now legitimately consider tangible and concrete factors related to occupant wellbeing and productivity when making decisions on office location and design features.
- Landlords, who are now better equipped to undertake wellbeing and productivity assessments of key office assets to support tenant attraction and retention. They can also use this data to influence and inform capex decisions, refurbishment plans, lease negotiations and marketing materials.
- Occupiers, who can now more easily assess the health, wellbeing and productivity of employees in their current space to better rationalise improvements; develop fit-out designs that can be shown to support productivity; and provide relocation advice which incorporates wellbeing and productivity considerations.
