2013 JLL Office Outlook | United States

From 2013 JLL Office Outlook Report, JLL:

After an inconsistent 2012, signs point to greater certainty across the U.S. office landscape in 2013.

Following a vibrant 2011, the overall domestic office sector demonstrated signs of inconsistent growth throughout 2012; however, as the year closed, numerous bright spots provided a path of increased certainty for 2013.

Overall, we are optimistic about the recovery heading into 2013. While challenges remain with our domestic deficit and debt situation and Europe’s sovereign debt issues, the baseline for a recovery in the private sector across the States remains, and will likely pick up speed as we pass through the year and into 2014—especially if the two aforementioned policy challenges in the U.S. and Europe can be resolved in a timely and acceptable manner.
