Real Estate Standards Global Index Tool

If your responsibilities span the globe, you should be aware of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Real Estate Standards Global Index.  This is an interactive reference tool to help you understand local practices for leased and owned space in countries around the world.

Using this tool, you can review and compare 25 critical real estate considerations on a country-by-country basis. Considerations include:

  • Unit of Measurement: Square feet, square meters, etc
  • Rental Payments: Rents, typical lease term, frequency of rent payable, typical rent deposit, security of tenure, statutory rights to renewal, basis of rent increases/rent review, frequency of rent increases or rent review
  • Service Charges,  Operating Costs, Repairs & Insurance: Responsibility for service charge/management fee,  internal repairs, repairs of common parts, external/structural repairs, and building insurance
